Michael Brannen

I have been invited to do something that I find extremely difficult. Some people hate Mondays, others hate broccoli. I loathe talking about myself, but I'll do my best to give an in-sight into who I am.

My name is Michael Brannen and I reside in Australia. Who am I? Simple, I'm nobody. I'm just your average bloke; married with two children, and hard working (I think), I'm the type of guy who tries not to attract attention while walking down the street.

If you were to ask my wife who I am, she would probably (her name's Tania by the way, and I love her dearly) describe me as a modern day Jekyll and Hyde. At work or around friends, she says I'm one person; meek, mild, normal, but when I'm writing down an idea, Tania believes I change. She says I get a gleam in my eye that transforms me into someone else, a stranger. Tania enjoys it when I share an idea with her; she just doesn't like the 'guy' who thought of the idea. Tania calls me weird, but she is the one who said 'I do' on our wedding day. So who is the weird one here?

I never really thought about who I was when I write, but since Tania brought it to my attention I discovered she was telling the truth; I do change. I think I become Dexter in a way; deep down we all harbor a little bit of Dexter Cross. Luke is my creative counter balance, he prevents me from stepping over the edge, and he keeps me sane.
