Once upon a time, Lux Zakari, an erotica writer in the United States, used to skim her mother’s novels for all the sex scenes on the sly, unaware there’d ever be a time she’d actually write them.
Zakari’s writing appeared in the anthologies Best Women’s Erotica ’09, Girl Crazy and Racy Pages’ soon-to-be released Surprise, as well as on the sites Clean Sheets, Oysters and Chocolate, The Erotic Woman and For the Girls. In November 2009, MainstreamErotica named her the month’s winner of its erotica writing contest and Paper Bag Press released her e-story, Love on the Side of the NJ Turnpike.
When she’s not writing, Zakari A) indulges in her unhealthy Rock Band addiction or a myriad of artsy projects, B) works toward getting her MSLS or C) stuffs her friends in the car for a road trip. One of her 2010 goals is to finally get a passport.
Currently in the process of writing a non-erotic novel, Zakari finds it extremely difficult to keep the steamy stuff out of her work. She did, however, promise her mother she’d write a parent-friendly story someday.
