Writing is my life. I spend the bulk of my time concocting new and ingenious ways to make my reader laugh. If I can't make you spill milk on yourself or spew coffee on your screen while reading my work, then I haven't done my job.
When I'm not writing, I love to read. I hoard books like they're going out of style and have squirreled them away all over the house. My husband just lifts an eyebrow when I acquire yet another mystery novel or bring home a shiny new piece of chick-lit. What can I say? I love reading, which is why I'm a writer. I've always had a love affair with the English language in general and vocabulary in particular.
Oh, then there's my other love--baking. Cookies, cakes, lasagna, whatever. Cooking frees my mind and gets the creative juices flowing. There's nothing more rewarding than pulling a dish out of the oven in all its golden-brown, and delicious glory. When I suffer from writer's block, the kitchen's the first place I head.
In case you're wondering, I've been married six years, have no children, and am currently contemplating the thought of owning a cat. My husband and I call central Indiana home, and we love to travel, mostly to Disney World but any other place that catches our fancy is fair game.
